It may be a coincidence, but it seems that all the people with working trainers here are american. Maybe there is different versions?

Now that I've noticed it seems like it.

Trainers been working fine for me as well, though a more in depth trainer would be nice but cant really complain.

As for a save editor, search for Black Chocobo

Its a much better editor then the one thats on here.
Also, when editing BACKUP your saves first. FF7 has been known to delete edited saves.

Also, when editing a good idea is to run the game and get to the save loading screen, edit your save, cancel then go back to the load save screen and load up your save.

doing it like that gives you a lesser chance of your save being deleted.
