it doesn't work at all, the scientist number doesn't change...
you have to apply it by pressing the green thingy next to the changed number....but it only works for 1 turn, then returns to normal.

will try again, thanks
if you can get it to work, then let me know.
No way to make it work.
When I press the "2" anyway, nothing happens at all. No sound, no popup. I have to alt+tab to get to the trainer.
P.S. Game now version 1.0.0.76, so the trainer is making it crash.

Well, the scientist option never worked, you need to use the trainer itself, set the amount, use CoSMOS to find it and then you can set it to whatever you want and then freeze it there.
Though there is a limit before it folds in on itself and goes down to the minimum or something like that.

If after a certain time it goes down to the minimum (or something), then it wouldn't be useful to use it.
Would be better to have something to edit the % and levels of the single researches...
anyway, just my two cents, Master of Orion 2, 1995 title, is still far better than this game. Better colony management, better research management, better enemies management, better fight management, better fleet management, better ship design, etc... everything is better but two things:
1- the graphic is that of 1995, so quite poor (anyway very good for the time, and not very far from this)
2- due to the engine power of the times, the huge galaxy wasn't as big as this one.
even the cheat/editor was far better and allowed a complete customization.
the MoO3 instead was a failure.
