Supposedly -dev might be bugged but at this point I honestly think they're just going to throw excuses until they feel they've made enough on the DLC. I can safely say I won't be buying any of it until I can mod the game and maybe not even after that. If it was just that they were planning on steam workshop I doubt they'd have disabled -dev until shortly before workshop launched, it's almost certainly a move to cash in on DLC sales before people can make their own content.

The -dev mode is certainly not "bugged", if that's the pedantic excuse being put forth then I call bull on that... It's simply patched out.

It worked just fine the day before launch with a beta client, they just don't want players to be able to play the game how the PLAYER wants to play. SEGA wants to control how you play, the entire time you play it, especially if that means you could put in your own content that they could have charged you for.

Indeed that is great news, however I believe (To much sadness) that A. many players have given up on sync, balance and lag errors and the complete bore fest that is an AI skirmish and gone on to better games made by better people. Or B. relic/sega or whoever the f**k rains sh*t on people now days will just stamp out on any community attempts to do things they don't "like" with a "patch" and bull us about it the entire time. I sent an updated version of the DOW2 retribution cheatmod in an attempt to make it fun(ish) again but I know that game is dead and always will be because of these guys, I recommend that giving up on this game and COH series from now on as a lost cause.... unless the IP passes on to another company.
