If you are a Windows 8 user, you cannot uninstall IE10 because it has been made a part of windows. The CoSMOS from cheathappens uses IE and crashes if you have IE10.
To enable the console for the steam version where you can manually enter the cheats, you need to do a tad more then usual.
Edit the file in "C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings" named "KeyBindings". Edit the line reading "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave" to read "OpenConsole_0=Control + Keyboard::Button_X". The console now opens when you press "Ctrl+X".
The next thing you should do, the easiest part is to add a file to your game files, so you can see the console and read what you are typing. The file and instructions for where to put it can be found here: Link

Managed to get the console to work, but no trainer works, the trainer #3 Dragon Age Origins - Mega Trainer (Patch #5 STEAMD2D) Worked for Win7 even with IE 10, but not in WIndows 8 it crashes when autenticating even with IE11 uninstalled, tried the other 2 and they run but don't work ingame. All other Trainers i got from here seem to work fine.

For most with win 7 the trainer does not work wiht IE10. So another that has something that is allowing it work..... Which is strange.
Sadly I can not help with the win8 side. I believe its a touch and go with the win 8 side. It might work or might not. All I can say is Revert back to Win 7 as 8 is a poor state foor games and should not have been released no matter what other users say. Win 8 is more of a mobile OS than a proper PC/Laptop OS.

Before I posted the *guide* I has a short conversation with someone of the admins, and they are not updating the trainer for Windows 8. There is no way you can make any trainers work for Windows 8, that is why I posted this.
The options you have is actually greater then with a trainer, although it takes a few seconds longer to get the job done. Considering there is no achievements linked to steam or Xbox Live I do not quite see the big downside to use a console.
Although there is no huge profit for this site, they should (IMO) update big names (games) after a while. I can see how they need to constantly buy games, and put a lot of work into it for a low profit (compared to their regular jobs). Still, I would find it greater if they waited 1 month minimum before they even made the beta trainer. Big titles should have been updated after 1 or 2 years, to make sure it is supported *at all times*.
It would benefit them a great lot if they made 2 trainers, 1 requiring membership to make money, and 1 trainer that is all local without depending on any other software then the game. If they did that, people who played 2 years or older games would get a free, full version of the trainer and get a great impression of this site (for future investment). The free trainer would of course not be released until 2 years after the game release.

It would be great if i could revert back to WIndows 8, It's a new laptop and still in warranty for a bit amount of time. The only thing i see it's strange his the fact i have other games with trainers from here (games as old as DA)and they work just fine. During the Night i've tried the trainers on another computer with WIN8 but with a pirate version of the game, and they work fine. Not the steam version but a retail version, so this blowns me away. At least i got the console working.

There probably is an answer somewhere in the forums as to why some trainers only works with local games (by that I mean not via steam, origin etc). The reason why this particular trainer does not work in windows 8 is because of the updated internet explorer, and it will not work on any older version windows if you got the same IE that comes with windows 8 (was it IE 11?).
Anyhow, I'm happy that this helped you out so long time after I posted it. I spent some time myself figuring out the solution on my own, that's why I decided to at least give people the option to search through the forums here
