I think the game has gone through a couple patches but when i use the editor on the hero it doesnt seem to do anything for me. Most likely I am doing something wrong. Will there be an updated editor?
Also, if not, I see some really kind members posting hex values to change to edit things on our own. however, Im not that knowledgeable on how to do something like that. Can someone direct me to where this is detailed on how to accomplish this?
Appreciate it. Thanks for coming out with cheats for my favorite games!

Seems it can still change gold and crystals, but I get an error message if I try to change any hero stats. Like XP and so on.

did you, by any chance, add digits to the code? Add an additional character? I.e. "gold.......241......" and then changed it to "gold.......2413......"? You may have also deleted a dot by accident.

The trainer kept working as of version 1.45 of the game. No reason to update the trainer.

The last trainer has worked through quite a few versions. However, the trainer is broken now though with 1.5.2 on March 10th 2015. It doesn't find the code. I PM'd 0x90 but I didn't get a response. Maybe he's busy.. /shrug.
Currently the you get the 'Trainer Activated' but then you get 'Error' and there is a popup window whose title is 0x90 and it says Couldn't find game code!
