blog.gamesfoundry.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
game as its now is in alpha state, and the thing thats playable is only the tutorial, they are busy with some sort of sandbox, also no campaign yet, also some bugs seem to be in it of course, which they want to iron out by means of alpha release, and the community helping track them
Also the game as its now is only 30 minutes, and you pay if in europe 16.99 euros for it

omg really? lucky me. I haven't buy it yet. why does all the game company this day release the alpha. they use to do it themselves about bugs & other stuff. now they get money from us & we fix they game for free??? really?? I mean give us a free game, help them fix, then when ready lock the game till we buy it, to get the code to unlock it...
anybody agree with me about the game company ripping us all of..
after all they pay less for the developer & bug fixer ( whatever u call them ) & everything else.
but hey why should we when we can have a free everything by us stupid people

This isn't anything outside the norm nowadays with indie companies. They release an alpha state game for a small fee so you can get a feel for what the game will be like. They do this because they don't have a big company or investors with lots of startup capital so they have to get the money from somewhere, why not crowdfund it by asking a $19 "donation"?
I honestly don't mind paying a little up front to get a product in an alpha state. In it's finished state the price will go up and you will have bought it beforehand. Some games like "Kinetic Void", "Kenshi", and "StarDrive" I just bought while they were dirt cheap and didn't install until they get closer to final release. Kenshi is in an alpha state and probably will be for a long time considering the development team is 2 people, but it's still fun to play.
Support the developers who create the games you enjoy.
