Regarding the Savegame Collection, Story completed in normal mode with....

Thanks to the user who posted the saved game file. I only needed the last save and it worked perfectly.

** Spoilers Alert **


Unfortunately this saved game file is one where the gamer did not succeed in getting enough morality points to unlock the 'good' ending. It isn't a bad ending but it isn't the best ending imo.

So far I've found several 'normal' endings saved games where Artyom destroys D6. In the 'best' ending The Dark Ones stop Artyom from destroying D6.

I had the same problem with the tower at the end of Metro 2033 too.

Assuming the same way LL started off relative to 2033's good ending--by ignoring it--I'll assume at this point that the sequel to LL will start off with some other character since Artyom dies in the 'normal' play of LL. By 'normal' I mean one does not make enough successful morality points to get the ending where Artyom survives.

All the same if someone updates what I think is the 'best' ending here I would love to play it for the hell of it.

Don't know if its allowed but I think it should be.

/EDIT: I also added my own savegame collection. (same format like the one here available, with readme.txt and spoiler.txt)
Would be nice if someone could add it to the other one. The difference is its played on hard with good ending.

Thanks much Lolznoob. There is a process I once used for adding a save game to Metro 2033 here that iirc required me to PM PWizard but you might want to look around for the procedure just in case you don't have to bother him directly.

Your 'savegame collection' worked fine producing the 'best' ending. Your first link just included the last save which for me only resulted in the 'normal' ending playing again. I think this is because when including just one save you still need to include your 'auto_save' file at the top of the collection too? This 'auto_save' file may somehow set the stage for how the 'l20_d6_defense.player' file plays out? Either that or you got things mixed up because Artyom did not survive.

In any case I am now finished with MLL and thank you again.

yeah looks like the save alone doesn't work. I don't know and i'm too lazy to find out

There is nothing mixed up I only played through the game once and the first file is straight taken from the collection.

I told you what the reason was...you need to include the 'auto_save' file with either a single save or the complete collection of saves. I don't know why. I'll leave it to you or any other interested party to add the 'best' ending into the save game section here on CH or not.
