it is unattractive to me but i feel no negativity or animosity towards obese people.
but then again, being really thin is also unattractive to me. curves are a beautiful thing.

All dat right dere is good stuff.
As a skinny dude, I really couldn't care less. I follow the, "Live and let live" rule for nearly everything in life.
The only problem I have is when they ***** about it and do nothing to alleviate their problem. In my group of friends, we've got 3 skinny people, and one larger guy. One day, not sure how, but the subject of weight came up and the of us skinny folk were talking about our bodies and the different ways we felt about them and the kinds of things we did to manage our weight. After about 5 minutes of silence, the larger guy bursts in with, "Oh, yeah, please. Keep telling me about your weight problems. I don't know anything about weight problems. I'm not even sure I can relate!"
It's like, screw you, dude. Just because your weight problem is worse than ours doesn't mean we don't have them. Imagine that all 4 of us have crocodiles living under our beds. Sure, yours is 50 pounds whereas all of ours are 10 pounds, but they're still crocodiles. A problem is a problem, dude.
I think he just felt guilty because he hasn't taken any steps against his weight.
that's one way to look at it but then again it's like you sprained youre ankle and you complain and moan about it to your one legged friend...
not quite. a one legged friend cannot grow his leg back, but an overweight person can lose weight if he/she is dedicated, regardless of what causes the obesity(thyroid problems, metabolism, laziness, etc.)
but if that is the way someone wants to live, who are we to judge.
