the savegame downloaded from here does not work it says CORRUPT save. I am stuck in the boss fight with Karinos and I just dropped the game altogether. Is there a savegame file anyone which just starts AFTER that boss fight? I've tried other internet savegames files but they all say the same CORRUPT SAVE. Help would be greatly appreciated

Haven't tried this myself but apparently you can fix corrupted saves by starting a new game and play for 20 - 30 minutes.
No idea what the logic behind that would be but a lot of people have said it works.

To fix corrupt savegames:
Step 1... Create a new game, and immediately save it and exite the game. Step 2... Find your saves Step 3... In Notepad++ (or any hex capable editor) Open the Corrupt save and the new save you just created. Step 4... In the new save find the first occurrence of the character combination "BOD". Copy Everything that comes before it. Step 5... Paste what you just copied overwriting everything before BOD in the Corrupt Save. Step 6... SAVE YOUR WORK. Step 7... Open the Game and your previously "corrupt" save should now work!
