So, can we expect any work on this soon?

I have been trying CoSMOS on the new demo, but i can honestly say, i've had really bad luck trying to do any editing with it.

The actual full game only comes out tomorrow (with some early releases today and yesterday), give CH some time!

don't we have a savegame editor? does it not work?

I've tried it, but i think it's only for Win8, since i get error when trying to run it on win7.

But one thing that worries me a tiny bit is how i've tried and tried to locate values to change with CE, but it seems nearly impossible, and also what is a bit alarming is how the savegames look on Win7.

They look nothing alike those on Win8.

Unfortunately it only works on Windows 8, and as lekkimsm2500 said they've done something funky with the save files, so it isn't as easy as opening in Notepad++ and editing values.

Furthermore, the Windows 7 edition seems to open three .exe processes for the game.

I can send some save files/the exe if you guys want but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort for you guys to try and do this.

Scratch that, the save file is readable in wordpad/notepad albeit strangely formatted, it's just NP++ that doesn't read it properly.

But does that mean it can be edited?

I've tried to edit it, but at soon as you save it, it appears the game aren't able to load it anymore.

I've tried editing the cash, but it looked like it simply reset the data, I'll try editing both files.

E: Realised the save file is using SQLite, so using a database browser makes making sense of the values a lot easier.

E2: I've successfully edited cash/research values using SQLite Database Browser, you just need to catch every value that crops up in the database.

It's also possible to edit the stats each employee this way, and possibly the research/design score of a game.

well with what you are describing it sounds like this game is a giant mess and a huge time suck hole.. we may not even support it when it is in full release instead of beta or whatever..
