It doesn't work on my save but I'm not sure if that is relevant because I hacked the save myself and I have something like 99999999 gold. It just shows 0 for the gold in your editor.

The editor can handle a maximum of six chars only, your value has 8 chars. That might be the reason why it fails. But you can test it on a new savegame and let me know.
