Sorry- to make this less ambiguous, the game crashes when I use the trainer no matter when I use it or if the fuel is showing or not. I have the game through steam.

You may use an old trainer version. Delete your trainer, clean your temp folder, reboot your computer and download the latest trainer.

Awesome trainer.
if its not too much to ask i have a feature request for the trainer:
Unlimited Electricity.
with the latest updated (0.22) you have a career mode now but you will need to do research to get the points to unlock newer modules.
to use the research modules on your ship you need to have electrical energy. but at the early stages you don't have solar panels or anything to generate said energy.

If you can share a savegame with a detailed instruction and how to get to the point where the energy or the research points are shown, I'll take a look on it.

thanks for adding the inf science points, however a few things I want to address.
when launching to the rocket I get the 2x activation however when i go into research and development I receive no activation sound when selecting the inf science points.

Seems that the science points option doesn't work, i do however get a .net framework exception when pressing 3
