Love the game except for the two guns only thing , a bit early for mods to be out, so thought i would ask if this is a game that would be tough to mod. This way i am not awaiting something that may never come.

Yeah its moddable. Its an unreal game so you can easily add your own things to the game.

Actually Unreal Engine makes it almost impossible to mod.
Almost all third party games with unreal never get modded because they modify the engine so that the stock unreal kit is useless and they use file formats that can't be recompiled and still work.
Best you'll get is some texmods and maybe some minor edits.
Take Mass Effect for example. literally there are only 2 mods. one is modifying the values of things in an INI file, and the second is using texmod to replace a single texture in the game while your running it.
I've looked around infinites file system is similar to other UE3 games that have never been modded.

Like I was saying, it is possible, the .xxx files control in game things like items, health etc
While other files control meshes etc.
But most are encrypted by what looks like LUA.
