Mass Effect 3 player classes are awesome, but I noticed that some of the class powers are there just as fillers, or are just plain pointless. Why does the Soldier need three types of ammo? In the time it takes you to swap from Disruptor to Incendiary there's a good chance that the enemy's shields have already begun recharging. What purpose does the Incinerate power serve for the Infiltrator when he / she is supposed to be stealthy like a panda? Damned if I know.
Well for quite some time I've been going up and down coalesced.bin and my save game files trying to replace / swap (not add) class-specific powers. I've found the standard powers' class associations in coalesced.bin at biogame.ini > sfxgamecontent > sfxcharacterclass > [class name]. Standard as in available from the start, I'm still looking for the ones that unlock after reaching a certain level. Anyways so I tried replacing the Infiltrator's (pointless) Disruptor Ammo with Energy Drain and Incinerate with Marksman (both of which are normally bonus powers) but no changes occurred in the game, not even after resetting powers or starting a fresh new game.
Next I tried editing my save, replaced the Disruptor Ammo power code with the Energy Drain power code and the Incinerate Power code with the Marksman power code. But in-game, instead of replacing them, Energy Drain and Marksman appeared at the end of the power tab, just like they normally would (Disruptor and Incinerate still being available).
I was going to try replacing them with other class-specific powers but I doubt it would make a difference. Is this possible or am I wasting time?

I would assume it's a waste time, considering this is probably something that in the Total War series is referred to as "Hard-Coded" into the game.
Still it's worth a shot.

Feared as much. Alright, any ideas where the unlockable class-powers are?

Yeah so I keep adding class powers to my character, but only the bonus ones seem to work. Same goes for coalesced, unless I'm not editing what I should in it.
