So - the latest version of this trainer is not loading. It crashes every time I attempt to load. Tried to redownload / reboot. I downloaded the version previous to the latest one (Kenshi - Trainer 0.97.6 (64-BIT STEAM)) and that is able to load with no problems! Shows a new version available but of course - that one won't even load
Running Windows 7 Pro 64 Retail. No AV installed. All the other trainers for my other games still work. PC runs without a hiccup. My guess is something going on with the latest version. Maybe not compatible with windows 7 Anymore?
We no longer test the trainers on Windows 7 as it's 9 years old and 3 OS revisions behind. Perhaps it's time for an upgrade.
Dang. That's too bad. Especially since Windows 7 is still officially supported by Microsoft regardless of how long it's been since it was released. I just really hate the built-in Spyware they include.
Then again right now I am doing a multi-boot of Windows 7 / Linux / Ubuntu. Whenever I do anything I don't want prying eyes to see I log into Ubuntu / Linux. I use Windows 7 for gaming only.
I guess I won't be using this trainer unless I can scrape up the extra cash for yet another hard drive, a copy of windows 10 64 pro retail. Who knows maybe when Kenshi does another update - the next version you guys do might actually work on 7. Again the previous version worked - so hey who knows.

🙁
Well, we aren't Microsoft and you probably have more "spyware" built into your phone OS where you have to give permission for every app to access your contacts, messages, images, camera, email, etc even if it's just a live wallpaper app. But I bet you're still using a flip phone from 2002 for that very reason.

1. I use a burner phones - I refuse to use smart phones on principle.
2. I actually have a faraday cage built around inside my bedroom for various health and security reasons.
3. I've also opted out of the Smart power meter and forced the power company to put back the analog one because they can spy on what you use through those devices as well - AND they also put out harmful radiation.
4. Yeah, I'm that guy. However, I still do have a gaming rig that sits outside my bedroom - I'll get a copy of windows 10 so these compatibility issues won't arise again in the future.

Windows 7 mainstream support ended 3 years ago and extended support will end in another 2 years. Link

All I care about are the basic security and software updates. Don't care about new features. They still fix security holes and they still fix driver issues and problems with .net framework etc. All I care about.
Again - I'll still get windows 10 just so I don't have any issues like this in the future. Yes I will STILL be using windows 7 as well - they will both be on my gaming rig.
