I seem to be having a problem with starting the new Tomb Raider game. I have set everything to Ultimate quality because I know my computer can run it. It can run BF3 on Ultra and whenever I try to play it I get this error message:Failed to initialize Direct 3D with current settings. I did DxDiag and Direct3D is enabled.
My processor is an Intel 4 core but has hyper-threading and my video card is the XFX HD 7970. I know I can run it on Ultimate settings. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Never mind. Apparently there was something called Exclusive Fullscreen that was enabled that I had to disable. That was causing the problem.

The fix to the non-startup could also be 'exclusive fullscreen' option which I had to turn off to get the game to start
