the perfect sequence option works for when you are in combat with other NPC's or enemies/animals, such as when you are fighting the wolf in the cave.

since nobody has given me an example in the game where this isn't working (specific mission/part of the game) then i have no idea how to 'fix' it since it works fine here.

it is NOT for mashing certain keys to open doors or turn handles.

The option has never worked for me or I never noticed it working. I'm playing the game with an Xbox 360 Controller, dunno if it makes any difference. I enabled the option and sometimes I just let the sequence play to see if I die or not (tried it with the wolf in the cave as well). To be perfectly honest, I sometimes just let the sequence play without pressing anything because some death animations are so awesome, they crack me up. Anyway... yeah, I think it's not working while playing with a controller.

For me it didn't work with the first sequence where the guy grabs you as you start through the tunnel and you have to mash left and right to escape. Ran as administrator started the game, pressed f1 at the menu and pressed f8 during an intro sequence.

Using windows 7. Also not using a controller.
