And I would utterly recommend getting the Freespace Open installation, as the guys of the Freespace Open Source Project have worked tirelessly to upgrade this game to modern graphic standards, as well as improving many of the flaws inherent in the original game.

Original game required, can be purchased from GOG.com for about $5.99.

However I would add that you need to type www.freespace2.com in every mission to get it to work.

Also the tilde button must also be pressed with each key command for them to work, but believe me, when you have set your fighter up as a flying beam cannon, that is when it gets really fun!
