Unfortunately, I have been unable to get the trainer to work for Ys II on Steam. It worked just fine for Ys I, however when I load the trainer and game then press F1 their is no audio and the trainer does not activate. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did attempt to extract the trainer within the Ys .exe file.

Can you supply additional information of what troubleshooting items you have tried?

I too am having a problem with YS2 on Steam. The trainer works fine on the YS1. I would start up the trainer first and then start up YS2 on Steam. Pressing F1 to activate does nothing. I do not hear the activation message.

Sure, I hope this helps.

Are you using AVast? No

Trainer repeating "Activated" over and over? No sound and no activation.

Personalized trainers suddenly crashing during the authentication process? No crashing, trainer does not detect game.

Recently upgraded to yearly or lifetime account and trainers say "INVALID TRAINER USER"? No

Using a BETA or Pre-Relase Operating System? No

Make sure you have the right version. Trainer Version (Patch 09.01.2014) Game Version is most recent STEAM update, the .exe file says it is version 1.0 though

Disable any third-party programs you may be using such as FRAPS. None

Have you disabled your Anti-Virus, Firewall and other security software? Added to exception list, and attempted with Anti-Virus/Firewall off.

Always read the instructions that are included with the trainer. Tried trainer both before and after booting game.

Sometimes the game's copy protection itself can interfere with the trainer's functions. N/A

Are you trying to use the trainer in multiplayer mode? No

Are the keys the trainer has assigned to cheats also mapped to controls in the game? No

Are you using any type of multimedia keyboard that has software running which makes the special keys work? No

Are your F-LOCK and NUMLOCK keys on? N/A and yes.

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? Windows 7, attempted game/trainer in compatibility mode and running Administrator.

Did you download the game from Direct2Drive, STEAM or another digital download service? Game was downloaded from STEAM.

Where did you put the trainer file? Attempted from my desktop and also the game file.

Is your sound card functioning? Yes

Been using h4x0r trainers? No

Have you tried running the trainer different ways? Tried before and after the game is started.

Is it possible for you to try offline authentication and being disconnected from the internet?

Tried it, no such luck. Same issue, trainer does not activate and recognize game.

I think ultimately your game version and trainer version isn't matching up. You said it was pointing to version 1.0. If you haven't had any patches then I would try the original trainer release. If you have, I would try to determine what date stamp the patch has (which should align up to the versions in the list).
