People who only rely on the look of the game are definitely not going to enjoy all a game has to offer. Just because a game doesn't have the most high end graphics, doesn't mean that its bad. And besides, its only been out 2 days now! Give them some time to fix the bugs, and release the Hi-res pack before you make your final decision about a game. And try to focus more on the gameplay itself, rather than the graphics.
For $49.99 I expect good graphics. This is not some $29.99 budget title. I'm happy I played the (demo)first.

I'm tired of playing the same game over and over and over again. In a way it's my own fault, constantly hoping that something new might be added to the formula years after it became apparent that they've completely run out of innovation and ideas.
How many times have I played this game? Sometimes it's called Aliens. Sometimes it's called Aliens Versus Predator. Once it was called Turok, which was really weird. But it's always the same game with the same gameplay and the same plot. The same increasingly stupid plot.
How cartoonishly evil are they going to make Weyland-Yutani before the franchise folds in on itself? They might as well be run by Dark Helmet, for God's sake! I'll try to take some solace in the fact that the license holders will never notice the irony that all the games have the same ultimate villain: Bureaucratic idiots who can't realise that repeatedly trying to make a profit by exploiting the Aliens is doomed to failure.
Your last paragraph made me roll.
Hilarious (and perspicacious!) insight. You, sir, have a fully-functioning brain.
As to the game itself, thanks to everyone for sharing their impressions, both good and bad. I pre-ordered it but haven't even launched it yet (busy, busy)... now I feel like I'm going in with balanced expectations.
if it where only the look of the game
this game looks outdated, has terrible ai and not even close the atmospehre they showed us in the trailers before
its linear like a rail shooter, nothing to explore like they promised

I do not remember anything about exploring.
