The point with the graphics is that in this day and age you expect decent graphics - there is no reason why any game, especially on PC, shouldn't look stunning. It's lazy game making, and as someone who works in the industry I know there's no excuse for it.
As for the game itself, I've only played for a few minutes so far and it seems promising enough from a story standpoint, but the fact that the pulse rifle only has a 40 round mag really sticks in my craw - for a game that is supposed to be a "made for the fans" Aliens sequel, that is simply unforgivable.

They left it at low res. A res patch will probably come out. Also the pulse rifle sucks. You will get better accuracy with a brick to the enemies skull. Also I know about the graphics industry to.
Not all games have to be graphic intense. This was just not polished.

Yep which is why I always go back to talking about Minecraft (NOT A GAME) and how addictive that is and its not graphically superior.
I think its more a get people to buy it first then release a Hi Def pack, instead of straight away so warez users can't get the goodies from day 1.
