Guys, when I double-click on the trainer, Windows 8 does not recognize the .exe file at all and asks me to go to the App Store to find a compatible program for the the trainer... Anybody else with this problem?

Right click and select " Run as administrator".Then you can run normally.

Has anyone here had any luck with the trainer recently? When I run it the game crashes as soon as the actual gameplay starts. I've done all my usual tricks to try and get it working, just want to know if I'm experiencing something common or if I should just give up.

Experience suggests Steam has patched the game, rendering the trainer ineffective. GFWL is going away and the game is being migrated to Steamworks.

Hopefully the folks at CH will be able to accommodate the changes.

I didn't realize it had been patched on Steam yet. I knew they were getting ready to though.

I'm out of town, trainer will be updated in the next days.

Yes, there was an update. It added the Steam achievements, but they are not active. Of course, the trainer stopped working - or more precisely, the game crashed with the activated trainer. I just wanted to confirm this from the above posts.
