Solaire's armor set is amazing looking to me, and I believe I've ever seen it used in pvp. That's most likely because it has no stats to speak of, but I want it all the same.
The quandary i'm in here is that I don't want to kill him for it. Soliare is one of the few npc's in DS that I truly like. Everyone else is rather take or leave, But the Sunbro is special, to me at least.
The question is, is there a way to get a hold of that set without melting his honorable face off to get it? I realize there's not an in game way, but perhaps CoSMOS or some other lil tricky trick?
Just like I can't bring myself to off the Fair Lady for her Keeper's soul, I just can't pull the trigger when it comes to Solaire, Just like him so much.

Don't use the Chaos Servant backdoor for Lost Izalith, and you'll probably get it.
Spoiler:
He becomes deranged by the time you reach Lost Izalith, and if you didn't take the backdoor, he's insane(ie. hostile) and you'll have to end his misery. After doing that for one playthrough, take the backdoor and save him if it bothers you.
