Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor Message Board  

Hi all,
I am brand new here and I am delighted to enjoy your work.
Yet, as mentionned 'koayj', I am wondering if your trainer is working fine with the version of COH - Tales of Valor 2.602 that I (legally) have.
Just to avoid the usual answer 'Have you read, follow,...' : Yes, I've read it all (Antivirus/Firewall disabled, compatibility mode tried, NO-cd/Dvd fix tried...)

What happens is when you launch the trainer, well... nothing happens, nothing appears, nothing tells me that the trainer is running. Watching the windows processes, nothing is related to the exe just launched.

It may be related to my steam version of the game. Yet, the trainer still should start or telling me that it doesn't find the game, right ?

If someone can help, thanks.

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer.

I've done all this and ran it as administrator.

When I watch the running processes, I can see that a dllhost.exe is launched (for about 1s) then nothing.

Concerning my antivirus and firewall protection (Norton), I've added the file in the exclusion lists of SONAR as well as in the exclusion list of the firewall. I have disabled both Firewall and Antivirus (5h for each).

No results so far.

I have to admit that I am not too keen to uninstall Norton.

try it and see if it runs. you can always reinstall Norton.

Trainer works absolutely perfect, also with Ewiger Krieg mod. Like Pwiz many times said - problem should be antivirus. In the past I had sometimes problem with Bitdefender - now running Eset Smart security and no problem at all.
