i have the latest version of the game and recently i have updated my nvidia driver to latest version and suddenly the game starts to freeze mainly in town mode
any ideas how to fix it beside downgrade the nvidia driver?

thats not really a solution since the upgraded driver improved performance and stability in many other games so it wont be a smart move to downgrade for only one game(so far)..

Will this nvidia compatibility get fixed knowing that a new DLC is on its way? I can't use the older driver since it's not compatible with Win8

there is a fix for the game freezes. open your nvidia control panel then click on manage 3d settings click the tab that says program settings look for your game exe file ie game.exe then in the list of settings look for CUDA-GPUS click the right tab then select the one that says use these gpus and click your card click apply to save then go and play.
