VAC bans only apply to that game and playing on "secure" servers. It doesn't stop people from playing on "unsecure" servers and they can still play single player, atleast according to the VAC faq.
It was a (TAC) Treyarch ban btw. Steam have nothing to do with it... Or, so they say...

Well when you get caught by TAC you normally also should get the VAC ban, cause those systems communicate with each other and in your steam profile should be "ban(s) on record" visible in a red colour
this trainer need to be pulled i got banned (my fault). only used once before xmas. and now im banned. to save the rest of your customers plz pull it.
As I have said on countless times on games that need to be online to play even in single player. Use the trainer at your own risk. If you never heeded the warning it is your own fault. The CHT do not have to remove it. The information is in the read me file. You are the user that has to make that choice. To use it or not. If you do use it you should take responsibility for being caught using it.
Sorry but I do not feel remorse or sympathy for those that get caught. Learn your lesson next time.
