Could anyone help me with getting the dlc (uncut) for an uncut Sleeping dogs game (bought outside steam but registered with steam)? Or am I stuck without DLC because I live in Germany?
It is not even available on the developers site itself.
Thought I was smart, buy it with credit card but I can't find a site for that. Help appreciated.

Dunno about uncut DLC, don't think they actually exist.
I think its more the region of where you live, it checks and disables blood etc.
So any DLC you add will be affected like the game.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

ok, understood, thx. Do you happen to know if there is a way for Germans to work around our governments censorship? I suspect the DLC isn't available for me since I have the uncut version. This might be the reason I cannot get DLC through steam. I was hoping there might be a way to get the DLC somewhere else.

"From now on, Sleeping Dogs is only available to buy in Germany in a lower violence USK-rated format. Unfortunately, the add-on content (DLC) currently available through Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace will not be compatible with this version. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have purchased/downloaded DLC for the PEGI version, this will remain on your console. However, no new DLC will be available.

YoGiFiEd, thanks a lot. What a downer, this was such a good game. germany doesn't seem to realize that adults have their own mind. feel like i'm 15 again.

No problems, Zippo. Japan went through the same censorship removing the fun stuff as well but i think they ended up being more stricter on the Japan version. You know you could always buy the region free version of the game to remove all restrictions just double check you can actually purchase and download the DLC in the steam store

what? i am known for being slow but ... you mean if i had bought the region free version i would have been able to download thru steam directly? mine isn't german though, bought it on some other site. to be honest, i just know i bought an uncut version but not sure which one lmao. alright, i won't buy it again tho that's for sure thanks again, merry x-mas, cuz if you're really in aussie land it's xmas already have a good one.
UPDATE: Hey, you know what, i misread lmao. I got ya. Yea i could d/l it from d2play region free but the thing is I have already registered my version with steam. I don't think there's a way to remove my existing version to replace with a new one, is there?

since i am an idiot, i bought it via steam and so i am now stuck with the german version not only do i NOT get ANY DLCs, not even the game updates are included my version says 1.1.4... and after some trying i came to the conclusion that none of the released trainers works for me. any german user had the same probs and perhaps even found a solution?
