I love the look of the new trainer. Is this how they all are going to look? Good job either way! @0x90
Thanks, its our new template we will use for upcoming game releases or port some existing trainers to it like this one.
That looks crazy. I really like being able to resize the window and snap-to easily.
Trainers have changed so much over the years.
Software development is getting more and more complex. People are getting used to lots of stuff so even a basic application like a trainer has to be more than showing a game cover and a handful of text about which hotkeys are available.
But under the hood its went completely out of control. I remember when I started writing my first trainers. My trainer engine has fit on a DIN4 paper sheet, it was basically just a few lines of code but it was enough. Now just the trainer engine has +50,000 lines of code.
Its not like all of this is absolutely necessary, but more like all of this is expected to have because over time, you got used to it. I'm exciting where we will be in 10 years, if cloud gaming hasn't ruined our hobby already 😆
I can believe it. We went from flat looking trainers that worked for sure, but didn't really have anything else going on within the trainer box, more like a static image on the screen, to the yellowjacket (current gen) with almost all the trainers I've used having fully customizable options, keys, values in many cases, on/off activation circles, settings, debug logs, VR, Controller, and standard support modes, CosMOS integration, Updated Game reporter.. and just so on and so forth.
As long as MS doesn't say "hey, it's finally time for us to take PC gaming seriously, so here's our new OS, Windows Mobile 11. Which all devices you used to game on will now need, and it's hella locked down for your safety", I think we should be doing well in 10 years.
Then again, game streaming is likely going to eat up a larger portion of the market than most people think, especially with game subscriptions poised to take off in the next 2 years. That could see the ability to train cut out a bit. EA Access is already a more attractive option than buying their titles.. especially with yearly iterative cycles. Xbox Gamepass is a steal for consoles, and it could bring people to the windows store if made available on PC. I know I'd use it for a few months. PS Now might actually become something decent. I wouldn't be surprised to see a UPass from Ubi in 2019 as well. They have the catalog for it.
The future could be really cool for CH. Or it could be utter crap for all of us. This current prison architect trainer is certainly a step in teh right direction.
Weird, that's not happening in my game. It's never worked for me with the trainer, I can't figure out why. The other things work fine, though.
I just tested the option and it works fine,
Make sure you run the 64 bit and have the latest Steam/GOG version.
Also make sure you run the trainer as Admin.
