I was actually able to simply rename the Mass Effect application name to MassEffect2.exe in Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries, and the trainer now works for me.

Definitely did not work. The game wont even launch if you rename the suggested file.

Bump. I hate to be a stick in the mud but is there going to be an updated version on this trainer to work with the trilogy package? It seems that everyone has forgotten about it, so I just want to see if we can fix it.

Interesting, I'm a little surprised no one has considered working out the issues on their end before wanting a new trainer. If you had downloaded all the DLC that came with trilogy, you might be surprised to find that the 1.2 D2D/Steam Trainer works perfectly for it.
The only reason no one that is a part of the dev team has responded to this is probably because they are laughing too hard at you guys to take you seriously. Honestly, if the trainer actually DOES not work. Why don't you submit a ticket?
