Hi all,

Is it just me, or is the stealth in the Witcher 2 a really bad game mechanic? The only time it seems to work is around the back of Loredos' house, but other times such as the dungeon or sneaking at the army camp it seems almost 100% scripted as to whether you can successfully sneak or not, rather than LOS or hiding behind bushes, etc.

I also find the controls become more clumsy (when you would think more accuracy is required!) - for example, if you walk through a doorway using the 'w' key, the POV the flips, so the camera points the opposite way - if you have not released the key in time you will end up walking back through the door again!! Frustrating when you are trying to sneak about.

If it were down to me I'd scrap all the stealth sections entirely, as they interrupt the game flow and spoil the game - I rarely play on the side of the elves simply to avoid the dreadful camp sneaking part

If there is ANY way to skip ALL (not just the hidden tunnel) of the stealth sections or a trainer anywhere that makes you invisible, let me know

Worst of all though: The Witcher 2 incorporates "instant death" scenes. Big no no.

You have a point, I had the same issues in the prison, ended up killing everyone. I haven't played in months, and honestly don't remember the ending. Maybe there's a mod that allows for more stealth oriented controls? I would not put it past the modding community.

Use save games,i did that in Tomb raider Underworld,sometimes it solves your problem.
