XCOM: Enemy Unknown Message Board  

Hello all, I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find any talk on the subject myself. How do you get the skip intro movies thing to work?

When you click the "skip" button on the editor, it says "select steam folder". When I do the regular steam folder, it gives me an error. So I figured I might supposed to be finding the game folder, so I drilled down to that one instead. No error, but doesn't seem to have had any effect.

So, anyone have advice for me here?

You may have figured it out by now, but...

I was also unable to get it to skip the intro movies, despite trying a few combinations of folders within the steam\xcom folders, however I did find that if you go into the "Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XComGame\Movies" folder (it may be in a different folder group for you) and rename or move the "1080_Logo_2KFiraxis" bink video it should skip straight to the main menu for the game.

You need to close XCOM if it's running. What the feature does:

Rename the following files in "\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XComGame\Movies"

XCOMLogo.bik
ShieldLogo.bik
ESRB.bik
Logo_2KFiraxis.bik
UE3TechLogo.bik
E3_shield.bik
