Well..
If installing on a faster disk makes the game run better, the game is having same problem as AC3, Online Verification(?) Lagg..
Uplay needs to verify most the stuff you do, and if thats lagging the game crashes;-(
Hey Wolf,
I gave up on it man, Its just continually crashing. I've spoken to ubisoft and after my third round of generic update driver lark im still awaiting a response. They themselves have said there is no reason why the game doesn't work, ah well will have to wait and see.
If you’re whole pc freezes then it has do with your video card. i had the same problem. Or what you can do is unstall the whole driver software including the remaining software of your driver with driver sweep, and install it again. And if it still freezes then it is your video card.
Alright, so how about this. Far Cry runs fine, except when I try to run the trainer (not using the trainer/editor). I'll press f1 on the main menu, continue on the secondary menu, then it'll load for a little bit, then crash to desktop, saying that Far Cry 3 has stopped working.
Am I perhaps missing some simple workaround? It seems like everyone else is getting a favorable result, so I'm not about to blame the trainer.
I have set uplay to offline mode, and all that rot.
What is your game settings if i may ask? and are you running the game and trainer as administrator?

The game's settings are all at max.
I am running the trainer as an admin, but cannot run the Far Cry executable as one. The farcry3_d3d11 takes me to uplay, then asks for a auth code, which I don't have, except for the cd key provided through steam. That code, of course, will not work for uplay. Starting the game through steam works fine however, albeit with the aforementioned crash
