Roberts the creator of the Wingcommander series and Freelancer among others is creating another epic space game called Star Citizen. He's bypassing the publishers and going straight to the fans, get in early and reap the rewards, see you out there.

Do not do it on kickstarter.

You are better off going to the first address and pledging there. If you can afford it I recommend either of the $140 ones or you can go higher the better.

Awesome glad I could share the info. I should also add the kickstarter is finished but you can still get into the beta and reserve a ship at the RSI site.

In much the same spirit of the original thread, even as old as it is, I'm happy to report that there is another game that just may be another Freelancer! It's quite the rare breed, especially since the similar (Indie) game "Limit Theory" is no longer in development.
