I would also like to know how to use CE, but, as I do not have a doctorate in computer science, that's not going to happen.
I don't have a doctorate in comp sci either, and I figured out how to use CE on my own. It's not that hard.
Typical way (say, in the case of editing inventory) to find what you're after:
Load the game, load CE. Click on the little computer icon at the top of CE, and find XCOMgame.exe (or whatever it's called).
Go in-game, go to the grey market, find the item you wish to increase. In CE, type the value you currently have into the 'value' space in CE, then hit 'First Scan'. Then, go back into the game, sell one more, go back to CE, enter the new value, and hit 'Next Scan'. This will look for any of the previous values that got changed to the new value.
Do this until there is only one address left in the list. There's a little red arrow at the bottom of the 'address list', click it. It will put the address in the bottom, where you can edit it.
Double-click on the 'value' in the bottom area, and change it to basically whatever the heck you want.
Editing things like money isn't as easy. I can't even figure out how to do that lol. But I got the option to work on the trainer, so I'm fine with that.
Also, does anyone know if the addresses change every time you start a new game? I saved all of the previous edits I did last night, and when I loaded the game again today, the values were all like 21362136 and stuff. Really, stupidly high numbers, obviously not what they were in-game.
