i guess they fixed all the bugs
its on steam now for 9.99
but i cant get the cheats to work either

I am guessing the trainer pry doesn't work with the Steam version of the game.

Not sure if this will work for sure but it has for other games. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local

In there you will find files for most of your steam games. If a file for the game is there try editing that and it should fix the problem. If that does not work just use one of the save editors, they will do everything you want as well.

i cant get the save editor to work all i get is cannot locate save files even after i send it to the save location ( K:\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\Saves ) any ideas?
