does this happen in other games? highly unlikely the game is the problem, more likely your card has problem keeping cool and sleeping dogs merely exposes this problem.

Initially I had an issue with the game crashing when I hit top speed in a vehicle if SLI was enabled, but after the first patch that stopped. I have a fairly old processor to boot, but the game still runs great with everything maxed sans AA.
For everyone having issues, I'd recommend turning World Density down and SSAO off on top of keeping AA at normal, shadows actually don't use up all that much power in this game, for me at least.

Running dual 550Ti's Nvidea....game crashes at the weirdest times and for no reason. This has never been a problem before and I game ALOT. I had to disable SLI just to greatly reduce the crashes, I don't know
It's all in the......whoops!

The game does not yet support SLI with the official drivers.
HOWEVER, there was a beta driver (306.02) released TODAY that adds SLI support! Go over to Nvidia, select "Beta and legacy drivers," and download it.
Finally!!

There have only been a few games that crashed regularly. Even without even loading the trainer at all and just the game itself, sometimes it will still crash in less than two minutes of play...with things turned down.
Oddly enough, it seemed to crash less the first day it was released. So some story missions I got tired of repeating since it would crash over & over...it got to the point where I'd skip the videos just so I could save my progress as fast as possible. Then I'd pull up YouTube to watch the cutscene I'd skipped.
But as much as the game would crash, even if they only allow you to save at the points & respawn from the same points...I'd really love to see them add the classic "F5 to Quicksave" so that I don't have to bring up the ESC menu after every lockbox & shrine. Or the Autosave could kick in to autosave little things like that if an F5 Quicksave is too hard to program.
Otherwise, I love this game (not as much as I LOVE their Just Cause 2) and I'm going to grab the 1.5 trainer and see how the new Steam update works.

1.5 seems much more stable with even better mouse/controls. I am glad because this game is such fun and a real hoot to watch me drive da cars.......
