on that same post someone named qwe2 made a savegame fixer

I just try and it did patch it but the problem is if you have save at a certain point and if you were to use any other save and start the game again it will still be the same save that you have save and not the new save that you have copy. One more thing I had found out is if you were to delete the save either from the game itself or pc and when you start the game again it will still be at that save. So my 2 cents is don't use it it totally mess up my game and I had to uninstall it and reinstall again

Why would it cause you to reinstall your game?

More like it made your save useless (you should have backed it up first).

From what I read the hex editing works, but you NEED to use notepad++ or similar that keeps file structures etc, it won't work with normal notepad or wordpad.

As for the savegame fixer, I wouldn't trust someone unknown's work, could have been anything but it could have been genuine also.

EDIT: Also reported the thread for a mod to [ url ] the links so it doesn't stretch the page.
