so they are using the license to re sell the game again.. i see.. this seems to be popular these days. i.e. they upgrade the textures or some sht and release the same game and 'profit'..
There is another reason besides the obvious money grab Mr Caliber. With the explosion in popularity of indie and "old school" games in recent years, smaller studios are buying up these old licenses and releasing updated versions not only for the quick buck but also to get cheap market research to see if there is enough interest in the franchise for new games to be made.
It only takes that one diamond in the rough to make it big. Why Interplay won't do something so Freespace 3 can be made is still the biggest mystery.
