Thats ..The best Idea Dstates, how would that be implimented? if you annoy the crap out of the staff, your ability to post gets revoked until whenever they decide? I dunno.
its just that there are alot of people who are going Yeah. So that posting ban might be the best idea. I mean, they'll never explain themselves.

Our Swedish Admin Friend will have to do a bit of jiggery pokery with that, shouldn't be hard to implement.
Set a flag on an account, set a date from whence it was put on, after that date flag is removed.
I am making this thread to see if the community supports this idea seeing as several games have been retired due to comments that either a single person or a few people have made. Do you think that these people should be banned instead of the games being retired? I think most people on Cheat Happens really Appreciate the work that Cheat Happens Does. I know I do. They do such a great job. The terms of service already give the CH staff ample authority to ban these people:
We have the right, but not the obligation, to take any of the following actions in our sole discretion at any time and for any reason without giving you any prior notice:
Restrict, suspend or terminate your access to all or any part of the Services;
Deactivate or delete your accounts and all related information and files in your account
So what do you think?
I do not think anyone should be banned for voicing discontent or being unhappy with a situation. Hateful is something else.
However. I do not think we need to put up with haters posting hateful messages directed at anyone! Especially the people working at CH to provide these services for our gaming fun.
I do think the staff should have the ability to block these people from posting repetitive hateful and offensive messages
that are clearly meant to disrupt the peace and tranquility of the site thus interfering with our calm and peace.
It is my opinion that if anyone really deserves to be banned it is the ones who are caught red handed trying to damage the site or it's servers with hacking, harmful uploads or viruses, or by deliberate tampering because this not only effects the site but also effects all users of the site and can result in damage to our computers as well.
As for the site retiring games that where the subject matter for the haters being referred to. I don't think it is right or just for CH to deny the rest of us access to files, cheats, and hints for those games just because one or two users used them to post hateful messages on the site. I think CH should bring all of these "retired" games back to us.
Especially when they where older games that some of us still like playing from time to time that we can't find trainers, cheat codes, hints, or tweaking information for anywhere else.
I am one of these older game fans and I have 2 older computers dedicated to these classic games. One with Windows 95C OSR 2.5 with full DOS support and then one with Windows 98SE on it for the later classic games.
This is my stand about banning haters.
If there is a reason to consider them such as causing hate and discontent with the intention of disrupting the calm and peace of other users of the site or to hate on the CH staff? Then the staff should block them from posting any more hateful messages.
However! If they are actually trying to damage the site or site servers, and in turn putting site visitor's computers at risk of damage.. Then. YES! BAN THEM!
Just stop the person from posting. If you remove access to trainers then you can run into legal problems or chargebacks. And that can cause trouble with your credit card processor.
there would be no legal problems, every member agrees to the terms of service upon joining the site which states the following:
We have the right, but not the obligation, to take any of the following actions in our sole discretion at any time and for any reason without giving you any prior notice:
1. Restrict, suspend or terminate your access to all or any part of the Services;
2. Change, suspend or discontinue all or any part of the Services;
3. Refuse, move or remove any material that you submit to our site for any reason;
4. Refuse, move, or remove any content that is available on our site;
5. Deactivate or delete your accounts and all related information and files in your account;
6. Establish general practices and limits concerning use of our site
