Other than AND better than Windows Movie Maker. Thank you.
Not for pictures of your new Baby...lol...lol
Do you know how to put text on the video I'm making? I simply want a more effective program to make lyrics videos.
I'd just use SRT soft subs in an MKV container. Use SSA subtitle format if you want more fancy lyrics (this is the same format used by many anime sub groups for the intro songs).
Does it allow me to make the lyrics appear on certain place on a picture, with a cool effect or something?

You can do some pretty fancy stuff with Advanced SubStation Alpha (ASS...yes that is the official abbreviation of it). You must note that SSA and ASS are both scripting languages and that you will need to utilize some reference guides, debugging, and probably some trial/error to get what you want (don't worry you won't have to re-encode every single time if you know how to (de)mux video files. Below is a very good reference on its inner workings:

Every graphical editor for this that I know will cost money. You can still create them using good old Notepad++ and some brain power for free. Once you have it down and you want to upload it to whatever, you can use an encoder like handbrake to burn the subtitles into the video image (make it hard subbed).
