OK people plz help out here with knowledge if you can!
yesterday Sunday the 22nd i loaded BF3 onto my rig and after installation it bagan to update with a 5+ Gig,it also gives you the choice not to install this update because you may miss-out on somethings etc.
What i would like to know is as i do not play on-line games am i missing out on anything? because this update seems to be all about on-line play etc,i would be grateful for any input on this situation.
not sure if this is the right info...and pardon me if i'm wrong. i don't intent to mislead u...but i think its the BF3-Close Quarters pack(the one for online gaming). that's about as big as the size of update u mentioned. i apologize again...if i'm mistaken.

Just so you know..
If you bought the Premium Edition or Limited Edition release
they both include the "access" to certain DLC content. The Limited Edition is the Back to Karkand expansion pack (DLC)
and the Premium Edition includes ALL 5 DLCs, And from what I understand, there is one or more of these DLC releases that has to be aquired through the digital download process..
That is probably what you experienced. As indicated by the previuos responder.
