Well, in my opinion i found the Endings a bit disappointing.
i don't know why they thought a perfect ending would be a bad thing.
it seems that every single ending had a bad outcome.

in both the Control and Synthesis endings, Shepard had to die, which is in my opinion a bad thing :P

in Destroy, Shepard lives, however The Geth and EDI die, since they're Sentient, i believe 'Died' is an appropriate term, after all, they ceased to exist.

i chose to Destroy the reapers because i want Shepard to live, but i feel i wasted my time Helping EDI and Jeff (Joker) fall in love.
the same thing goes for establishing peace between The Geth and the Quarians (Legion would have sacrificed himself for nothing ).

So I'm just gonna pretend that EDI and The Geth were rebuilt via Backup Data, and there!
    i have my Perfect Ending.

This is just my opinion, so please don't call me crazy or curse at me if i made a mistake or you just don't agree with me.

In my friendly opinion Awalker, i think and beleive that this is not the end to M.E. series,i have played it htrough 4 times and when Commander Shepard runs into the central beam of light it doe's not show you that he is DEAD,the ending is open.

One other thing is this Trilogy has made this studio a fortune in $$$$$$$ and £££££££'s so they will not kill off a money spinner in my friendly opinion, for my sake i hope i am correct,Because i love this Trilogy and for me this M.E.3 has been a super and fantastic journey.

sorry for not noticing your reply.

2 things you got wrong in your post.

    1) Shepard might not be dead in the Synthesis ending (Green beam in the center)
Reason why that's WRONG: you clearly see him DISINTEGRATE into nothingness, his DNA is used to make an equal race in the universe.
The only ending where Shepard doesn't die is when his Name isn't hung up on the Memorial (Destory, 5000 Military War Assets)

    2) They won't kill a money spinner, as in they'll make a sequel to Mass Effect 3.
Reason why that's WRONG: you're not entirely wrong, they won't kill the Mass Effect Universe, but they announced that Shepard's story is over, and they won't make a sequel.
They are however gonna make Prequels, focus on Past events or something (before Mass Effect 1)
Maybe they'll change their minds and make a Sequel.
I hope not, because then i won't be able to Ignore the fact they killed EDI and The Geth in the only ending where Shepard lives.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys. Bioware specifically said at comicon this year that ME3 is the end of the Shepard story. They however gave hints that they might continue Mass effect with other story lines in the future. As sad as I am to see a character I grew to love and feel was a part of my life go there's nothing that can change that. I would have hoped they would go back in time to the begging of Shepard's story starting with how he/she got into the N7 program. It would also be great if they showed the war (for some reason I cant remember the name) where it talked about Shepard at the begging of Mass Effect 1. There are so many options they can do to keep Mass Effect alive in ways other than Shepard as well.

I was on the fence about posting on this one.I have had infinite disscussions/debates on the ending of ME3.
But,this seems like a decent post.

First, iam NOT trying to start any kind of debate here, just stating MY OPINION.

That being said,i for one was completely satisfied with ALL the endings of ME3.As stated in Kreusel117's post,Bioware has said from the very beggining that this was the end of Shepards' story.I thought the story was fantastic and didn't leave any open plot endings at all.I thought the story was well told and explained.

I thought shepard dying showed sacrifice and brought realism to ME3.And,i for one was very dissapointed that Bioware gave in to the whiney little fan-boys who didn't understand the end game.(And BTW,the fan-boys were still NOT satisfied with the "new" DLC ending)
I thought Bioware should have stuck to their guns and stayed with THEIR original story.

Sure,i got attached to Shepard and all the crew.Yes,i was sad to see them go/die.But,that's what makes a game and story great.
    What did the fan-boys want?
Save the galaxy and live happily ever after...BORING.

The ME franchise will live on in other areas of the ME universe.Just because Shepards' story is finished doesn't mean it's the end of the ME universe. As hinted by Bioware.

Again, not trying to start any kind of debate, just stating MY OPINION. And,you are certaintly entitled to your opinion. And,i respect that.

Well, I'm satisfied with the Destory ending myself.
By the way Shepard lives in the Destroy ending even before Extended Cut.
I believe Extended Cut was a beautiful addition, but wasn't needed. i just don't want Shepard to die, but I'm disappointed someone HAD to die.
It's either Shepard or Synthetic Life (EDI, The Geth)

I personally chose the Destroy Ending, it seemed like the ending i would have gone with if i was in Shepard's place.

I guess that's what Bioware want, you have to make difficult choices, that's Life.
I don't think Happy Endings are boring, but i still loved Mass Effect 3, and it breaks my heart that it's gonna take about a year until another Bioware game.

Most likely the next Bioware game will probably by Dragon Age III.

You're right. They should have stayed with their original story. Shame they changed it last minute and strayed from the ending devised since the original ME3. Which was confirmed by ME3 staff writers.

Anyway, yes Dragon Age 3 will be the next game released (announced as Dragon Age 3 Inquisition). Sounds like it'll be fun. If you can be the Inquisitor. :P
