I was on the fence about posting on this one.I have had infinite disscussions/debates on the ending of ME3.
But,this seems like a decent post.
First, iam NOT trying to start any kind of debate here, just stating MY OPINION.
That being said,i for one was completely satisfied with ALL the endings of ME3.As stated in Kreusel117's post,Bioware has said from the very beggining that this was the end of Shepards' story.I thought the story was fantastic and didn't leave any open plot endings at all.I thought the story was well told and explained.
I thought shepard dying showed sacrifice and brought realism to ME3.And,i for one was very dissapointed that Bioware gave in to the whiney little fan-boys who didn't understand the end game.(And BTW,the fan-boys were still NOT satisfied with the "new" DLC ending)
I thought Bioware should have stuck to their guns and stayed with THEIR original story.
Sure,i got attached to Shepard and all the crew.Yes,i was sad to see them go/die.But,that's what makes a game and story great.
What did the fan-boys want?
Save the galaxy and live happily ever after...BORING.
The ME franchise will live on in other areas of the ME universe.Just because Shepards' story is finished doesn't mean it's the end of the ME universe. As hinted by Bioware.
Again, not trying to start any kind of debate, just stating MY OPINION. And,you are certaintly entitled to your opinion. And,i respect that.
Well it was just more than Shepard dying that upset people, a lot more but that has been discussed quite a bit already.
I personally don't find everyone dying, dark endings all that enjoyable or entertaining myself. They could have done multiple type of endings instead of Red, Green and Blue.
The "fan-boys" wanted a better ending instead of the rushed mess they have us, not to mention something where our choices mattered.
I would not mind paying $100+ for a game thats like 50-80GB in size with open sandbox ME universe as the background. Thats like countless hours of gameplay, well worth the money.
Perhaps the game can start at the time line where First Contact War began.
