    Hey Guys,

Im new to this series and I'm wondering if this game is really worth the $89 price tag for the goty edt. If some peeps can give me some idea as to how the game plays etc. Cheat-ability factor is also a bonus for me as I get pretty time restricted etc. Thanks

Idk where you got $89 from but check steam they have it for: $49.99

As for civ i havnt played since civ 3 but last i checked games can get as drawn out as months. Thats why you can save. It can also bring even those who dont game to the point of addiction (my dad used to ditch us for civ 2 lol great game btw loved civ 2.)

Idk bout civ 5 though never played. I suggest against it as its a steam only title so unless you wanna put up with steam and its crappy drm i say no.

    Howaya dssas,

Yeh man Its $89 for the gotyedt in australia. $49 Would be awesome, i know of one store in brissie which is selling for $28, but damn early shop closing on saturdays . Sweet so it sounds like series is pretty damn good. I've recently rediscovered rtw, and decided to look at this title. Thanks for the input man.

I'm personally not a fan of the Civ series, but then again my dad plays nothing else than civ.

so it's up to personal taste.

Idk what rtw is but if you want a game like this check out rise of nations or master of orion. Could also get sins rebellion if your down for dealing with steam. If you get sins hit me up.

Edit: however since the aud is close to the usd value id be happy to help you but gifting you either civ or sins if you sent the cost in usd over pay pal (converted ofc) as i dont codone the price gouging most devs pull. (the recent push towards 60 bucks per game anyone?)

Edit: check out gamers gate they have civ on sale or had it for a couple weeks now.

    Howaya dssas,

Ah man If i'd a checked the email earlier I would have totally taken you up on the offer. I drove out to that store, and purchased the title for $28 australian. $60 per game, dude we pay up to 99$ for a pc game and 110$ for a xbox360 depending on the titles. Its nuts. Just got the disc in the optd, and waiting to fly. Thanks dude
