Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\events
create a new .txt file in the events folder and name it something like Cheat_events and copy that cheat event into it(using notepad or similar). Take a note of that cheat events id number and during the game press the ~ key and enter event 280004 and the event should pop-up. Choose cure and whatever traits you've added to the cure part of the event will be taken away from your current character.

So the console is needed? I can't bring it up at all, have tried everything I have read.
Now I got it, never heard of a console that needs a combination of keys to open.
