GOTY version same as regular? on Civilization 5 PC Message Board - Page 1

I'm sorry, I KNOW how dumb this question sounds, as the Game of the Year version is PROBABLY just the game + a bunch of DLC.

BUT... someone on the Steam forums was complaining about the GOTY version as if it didn't run as well as the regular version, implying that the actual .exe file is different in some way.

Is this guy just a knucklehead, or is it really a different executable?

Before I buy one version or the other, if they are different at all, does the trainer work fine with the GOTY version?

Thanks for your time, and sorry for the dumb-sounding question. I just want to be sure.

Ive got the same problem..
The trainers doesent work with GOTY version.

Somebody that knows why?

Your trainer was most likely outdated. I have the GOTY edtion and I never had any problems. In fact, the GOTY runs better/smoothier on my PC than my friend's regular version...
