the trainer makes the game crash with latest update of alan wake on steam
I can confirm this.
I've noticed a lot of the weapons, like the Nailgun and all of the 2 handed weapons*at least the ones I have collected so far* the ammo goes down, and runs out even though it says 999. I have tried deactivating and reactivating the options, but nothing changes.
how can the ammo go down if it is still showing 999?
keep in mind that NO RELOAD and AMMO are separate options. if you turn NO RELOAD ON, then likely you should also turn on the AMMO option, otherwise your ammo will run out or go negative.
the options may not work with all weapons. i did not play the game for 14 hours to test them all, sorry
best,

Is it just me but I think the infinite ammo only works with Magnum and SMG... I'm still in the time loop act.
Nope, it's not you... It's a "known issue"' Cal's post above with my quote.

What he meant I think is, because of the no reload + unltm Ammo the ammo shows 999 in red, the game stills sees it at 0 and you can shoot it once, then it will switch to another weapon. You have to switch back, rinse and repeat. However if you pick up ammo for certain weapons, the ammo will change from 999 (or rather 0) to -9** (depends on the max spare ammo capability of the weapon.) IE Assault rifle will show -899 when max spare ammo is picked up.
