Thanks for the quick fix on the new patch. When I test it yesterday, D3 launcher still at the old version. Only today update to new version.
However do face new problem (not the trainer). After update the new patch, during login to battle.net server, prompt that new patch available, asking me to update it before play. Then terminate the game. I already update and still it prompt me to update. *Arggghhh*.

I have the same death loop launch, sign in, new patch end game, restart launcher, game up to date,launch,etc...
So far, the US server are up and you can play it without problem, WITH new patch.
As for Europe and Asia server, we cannot play it because our launcher at 1.02 while the server still at old version. Have to wait for them to update before playing.
Now playing new character created in US server.

there is a fix for that i think posted on the diablo 3 official forums.
something about using -launch when opening diablo 3 or something
at any rate, do a search or check out the forums.
crazy that they have this many problems with launching a SP game-
Then here is a solution -- DONT USE IT. Problem solved. Obviously you have no ****ing clue how a SERVER BASED GAME actually works.
