Anyone know how to open the door to the 'Fighters Challenge' on L7 ?

I've read on other forums about needing the Sword of Nex, Dissasembler Sword and about 50 other 'Maybe it was this' comments ..

But nothing has worked for me

I'm now just about to complete L11 with L14 characters and keep going back to check the door, but its never openning

You enter the Fighters challenge from lvl 6 through a secret door, but you must first have visited lvl7 to enter.
If you want to learn more gamebanshee has a good map that shows where the door is

Thanks, but I have done everything right through to Level 12 now ...

I did look on the gamebanshee website for a walkthrough, but it doesnt say anything about getting the door to open, other than visit L7 first.

I know where the door is to the challange and I have been to visit it many many times.
I have all the equipement, pressed every button, pulled every lever that everyone says you need for it.
But alas ... It is still closed tight

Wierd.. for me it opened soon as i approached it the second time (the first time i hadnt been to lvl7) and i tried again as soon as i had gotten to lvl7.
A bug maybe.. or did you stand in front of the door long enough for it to open? takes a couple of seconds

Yeah I am hearing many different things about why it will / wont open.

As for standing in front of it and waiting ...
Sure have .. from a quick 5 seconds, up to 45 min while I went and ate dinner ..
I've even made a 2nd group and played through to the L7 area, back up to L6 and to the "Challenge" door .. Still closed ..

Oh well, from what I read about it, there is nothing I 'NEED' to complete the game in there.
Just annoying knowing it's there and I can't do it.

Well I figured it out ..

The 1st time I went to the door, I must have fired off an arrow without realising it.
After trying everything else yet again, I was about to head up the stairs again and give up for good.
When I turned around I noticed the very tip of an arrow head sticking out from the wall.
Picked it up, went up the stairs, back down, step toward the door, BINGO .. It openned ..

Thanks anyway .. Hope this helps anyone else having the same problem

Actually, officially it requires the Sword of Nex equipped. Nothing else.
