artmoney Set to Float 8 Bit search.
make all 4 characters. and assign special abilities, like healthy...
increase each stat of all characters by 1 and search for 1.00
go back to game, then back to artmoney and filter for 1.00, do this twice to clear out garbage.
Go back to game and increase each stat of all characters by 1. go back to artmoney and filter for 2.00, you should have 16 addresses now. Change them to what ever you want.
you can then do skill points, but cannot alter them in character creation...
Go to artmoney and search for 4.00. Go to game and back to artmoney and filter for 4.00 a couple times to clear out garbage.
add one skill to each character so you have 3 points left to spend. Go to artmoney and filter for 3.00. then add one more skill so you have 2 points left to spend on each character... until you have only 4 addresses.
Start the game, then go back to artmoney and change those 4 addresses to what ever you want.
Super mega character.
My thanks for the quick tutorial in using artmony to modify starting characters in Legend of Grimrock, Astonerii
Should the later levels start proving overly difficult - it is now nice to know I can restart with new and much more advantageously modified characters, which is a real plus for a gentleman who suffers from (among other wonderful Agent Orange complications) severe Peripheral Neuropathy - which simply said means I have a tough time just trying to keep my gaming mouse under reasonable control not to even mention my poor hand and finger coordination on a computer keyboard.
Obviously, any advantage I can obtain to even the odds with a computer gaming AI so that I can get past the opening 10 minutes of any given game and stand a reasonable chance of completing the same is always highly appreciated.
